What is PESONet?

PESONet (Philippine EFT System and Operations Network) is a retail payment system launched by the Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC). Through PESONet, businesses, the government, and individuals will be able to conveniently initiate electronic fund transfers and recurring payments from the sender’s accounts maintained in BSP supervised financial institution (BSFIs), such as banks and other non-bank electronic money issuers (NB EMIs), to corresponding recipient accounts in other BSFIs. What is InstaPay?

InstaPay is an electronic fund transfer service facilitated by BancNet that allows customers to transfer funds of maximum PHP 50,000 per single transaction instantly between accounts of InstaPay participating institutions in the Philippines. ING is using InstaPay to receive money from other participating banks. The list of InstaPay participants can be found at http://www.bsp.gov.ph/payments/Instapay%20Participants.pdf

What is the difference between PESONet and InstaPay?

Both PESONet and InstaPay are electronic fund transfer platforms used under the National Retail Payment System.

Fund transfers in PESONet, subject to daily transfer limits decided by the sending bank itself, are normally processed by batch at end of banking hours and are credited the following banking day. InstaPay transfers are made real time but there is a limit of maximum PHP 50,000 per single transaction. Please note that ING can receive and send funds via PESONet but we are only a receiving bank on InstaPay.

Is there a daily limit for transferring money?

The table below gives an overview of the different limits depending on transaction type. You can also see the daily limits under account information.

Daily limits for internal and external fund transfers are applicable for each single transaction or total aggregate transactions per calendar day.

I made a transfer from another bank to ING using PESONet but have not received the funds. What may have gone wrong?

Banks typically process money transfers that are successfully completed before their respective cut-off timings within the same day. Kindly note that transactions made after cut-off timings will be processed the next banking day. This is the case as well for PESONet money transfers done during weekends and holidays.

I made a transfer from another bank to ING using InstaPay but have not received the funds. What may have gone wrong?

Money transfers using InstaPay are transferred immediately upon processing the transaction. Factors that may have affected receipt of funds are inaccuracy of account details or restrictions on your ING account, among others. We encourage you to contact us through in-app message to check the status of your fund transfer.

Is there any fee for money transfers?

We do not charge any fee for money transfer from ING to other accounts. However, some banks may charge you fees for transferring money from the bank to ING.

How long does the money transfer take?

We will process money transfer transactions that happen before the daily cut-off timings within the same business day. Any transaction after the daily cut-off timings (and on holidays and weekends) will be processed the next business day.

Cut-off timings:

Transfer from other banks to ING - 4:00pm
Transfer from ING to other banks - 3:30pm
Transfer from ING to ING account - No cut-off

Please note that there are several factors that can affect the timing that you or your payee will receive the money, such as the processing time of the other banks.
